The Bug
It all started once I got the urge to travel. Every time I visited a city, I wanted to visit another one,
and another one after that, and another one after that one. The world seemed to get smaller, but
every time I turned the corner, there it was, another city. So was the world getting smaller or was
it getting bigger?
Before I knew it, I had gotten the travel bug. I had finally gathered up the courage to have a go
and live abroad. It was now or never.
And so I did. I went to Europe.
The Visit
So what better excuse for your friends to travel than to come visit you?
It so happens that my first visitors were filled with curiosity about the city I had been living in.
"What is this? What is that? Why is this here?" they asked.
I cought myself saying most of the time, " This is so and so but I don't know anything else about it"
and click, click, the pictures were taken.
It was after their stay that I decided to find out more about everything.
The story of things
So I set out to find out about the story of things. The more I learned about the city, the more I realized what I had been missing out on. I knew very little about the thousands of things I had seen and had taken pictures of. I also realized that the more I knew about these things, the more and more I appreciated it and enjoyed it. If only I had done it with all the other cities I had visited.
The idea
As I was walking around the city with my new found appreciation, and proudly sharing it with friends,
I began to see that many people were doing the same thing I had done countless of times before, just
barely knowing what something is and taking the picture.
I also saw many people walking in huge tour groups. Although it is for some, it isn't for me. I like to be
on my own and being master of my own time. If I want to stop somewhere for a while, I can. I Don't
have to follow a crowd. Then it hit me, most of these cities are outdoor museums. What if you could
have a guide you can listen to, an interesting one, and walk around and learn about the things that
interest you, and skip the things that don't?
And so it was, Audiotravelbug was conceived.
We hope that you enjoy our guides, and get to know more about this amazing world we live in.
Don't just take the picture!
Sincerely yours,
