Paris

The Parisian life style of joie de vivre (the joy of living) is visible in the cafes, wine, and food. It’s well known that sitting at a cafe and watching people as they carry on their day is like being inside a movie. It’s a highly valued experience by both visitors and locals alike.

Paris CityParis, the capital of France, is located on the river Seine. It’s one of the global leaders in politics, business, the arts and fashion. The city itself is divided into districts or (arrondissements), each of which is known for their individual characteristics such as fashion, cafe life, and more. With its many neighbourhoods, world class museums and some of the most instantly recognizeable land marks on the planet, Paris makes for a great walking city, but can also be quite large. Unless your prefer taxies, learning how to use the public transportation is important. The metro is the most common way to get around. It’s one of the oldest and most efficient in Europe. You are never more than ten minutes away from one. Paris is a safe city, but just as with any other major city, its a good idea to excercise common sense and to keep a lookout for pick-pockets. When visiting, its also very helpful to learn some basic phrases properly. Not only is a sincere effort always appreciated since the lan- guage is a symbol of pride, but its also part of the Parisian experience.
